Tony Evans Makes His Final Speech Upon Leaving the Ministry
Renowned pastor and author Dr. Tony Evans delivered an emotional and heartfelt farewell speech as he announced his decision to retire from active ministry. Addressing a packed auditorium filled with congregants, friends, and family, Evans reflected on his decades-long journey of service, faith, and dedication.
Evans began by expressing deep gratitude to God for the opportunity to shepherd His people and share the Gospel. “From the beginning, this has been a calling, not a career,” he said. “I’ve been privileged to walk with so many of you through your joys, sorrows, and victories in Christ.”
He reminisced about the humble beginnings of his ministry, recounting how God turned small, faith-filled steps into a global platform to advance His Kingdom. “When we started, we had no idea where this path would lead, but we trusted the Lord’s vision, and He has done exceedingly and abundantly beyond anything we could have imagined,” he shared, his voice filled with both pride and humility.
Evans also acknowledged the unwavering support of his family, particularly his late wife, Lois, whose influence he described as foundational. “Her prayers and partnership were my rock, and her legacy continues to inspire me daily.”
As he looked to the future, Evans encouraged his audience to remain steadfast in their faith, urging them to embrace their God-given purpose. “Though I am stepping aside, the mission remains. I implore you to continue walking boldly in your faith, transforming lives and communities with the love of Christ.”
Closing with a prayer, Evans reaffirmed his trust in God’s plan. “This is not the end, just a new beginning. The work of the Kingdom is eternal.”
The room erupted in applause as he exited the stage, leaving behind a legacy that will resonate for
generations.
