News: the Ravens and may wind up being a member of the Kansas City Chiefs or…..Read more

John Harbaugh made it clear to me when we spoke at the NFL Combine that he hoped the Ravens could bring back Odell Beckham. Unfortunately, it turned out that the two sides just couldn’t make it work.Ravens fans might be sad to see him go, or at least expect that the team will be adding a wide receiver early in the NFL Draft now, but Baltimore’s loss is another team’s gain.

Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team reported last night that both the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs were interested in signing Beckham last year, and since both still need a wide receiver, they could be interested in adding him to the team.

Both the Jets and Chiefs have over $15 million in remaining salary cap space for 2024 to play with if they do indeed want to add Odell Beckham Jr. to their wide receiver rooms.

The Chiefs did just add Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to their receiver room at the end of last week, but the team returns only one other receiver who logged more than 27 catches last season (Rashee Rice).

The Jets have an absolutely atrocious wide receiver room, with Garrett Wilson being the lone competent weapon. Their most proven receivers outside of Wilson are Allen Lazard and Xavier Gipson (who is surprisingly a real person who plays in the NFL). The Jets should bring in OBJ and still draft multiple wide receivers if they want to have any hope of assembling some sort of aerial attack with a pulse in 2024.
