Marcus King Embarks on Nationwide Allman Brothers Tribute Tour, Bringing Southern Rock to a New Generation

Atlanta, GA — November 12, 2024 — Rising Southern rock star Marcus King has announced an ambitious Allman Brothers Band tribute tour across the United States, set to kick off in January 2025. Known for his powerhouse vocals and fiery guitar solos, King has a deep connection to the Allman Brothers’ legacy and aims to introduce a new generation to the band’s timeless music while honoring its influence on American rock.

King’s tour, named “Southern Bound,” will feature classic Allman Brothers hits like “Whipping Post,” “Jessica,” and “Ramblin’ Man.” Special guests, including members of the extended Allman family and former Allman Brothers collaborators, are expected to join King on select dates, adding authenticity and connection to the iconic band’s original sound. “The Allman Brothers paved the way for a sound that’s all about freedom, expression, and soul,” King said in a recent press release. “This tour is my way of saying thank you to them and sharing that feeling with fans, old and new.”

The tour is also planned as a multimedia experience, incorporating rare visuals and footage from classic Allman Brothers Band concerts, drawing the audience into the atmosphere of the ’70s Southern rock scene. King hopes this interactive approach will help younger fans understand the cultural impact and musical mastery of the Allman Brothers Band.

The tribute tour has received high praise from Allman Brothers members and close associates. Devon Allman, son of Gregg Allman, expressed his excitement on social media, writing, “Couldn’t be prouder of Marcus for carrying on the family legacy with so much heart.”

Tickets for the “Southern Bound” tour are expected to go on sale next week.
