Breaking News: S. Coleman and T. Barry Set to Miss Saturday’s Clash Against Manchester City Due to Injury Concerns

Everton have suffered a major setback ahead of their crucial Premier League clash against Manchester City this Saturday, as both captain Seamus Coleman and young winger Timothy Barry have been ruled out due to injury concerns. The news comes as a significant blow for manager Sean Dyche, who is already dealing with a short squad amid a demanding fixture schedule.

According to club sources, Seamus Coleman picked up a muscle strain during midweek training and has been advised to rest for precautionary reasons. The veteran defender, who recently returned from a long-term injury, was expected to play a key leadership role against the reigning champions. Medical staff confirmed that the 35-year-old will undergo further assessment to determine the extent of the setback, but early indications suggest he could be sidelined for up to two weeks.

Meanwhile, promising forward Timothy Barry is also set to miss the game after sustaining a minor ankle sprain during the team’s training session on Thursday. Although the injury is not considered serious, Dyche is unwilling to take any risks with the youngster’s recovery. Barry’s absence will likely open the door for Dwight McNeil or Arnaut Danjuma to start on the wing.

With both players unavailable, Everton face a challenging test as they prepare to host Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Goodison Park. Dyche emphasized the importance of maintaining focus despite the setbacks, urging his team to show resilience and determination. The Toffees will hope to rely on home advantage and strong defensive organization to secure a positive result against one of the league’s toughest opponents.
