BREAKING NEWS: Belmont Park Officially Renamed “Big Red Park” to Honor Secretariat

In a landmark decision that has thrilled racing fans around the world, the New York Racing Association (NYRA) announced today that Belmont Park will now be known as *“Big Red Park”* in tribute to the legendary racehorse *Secretariat*.

The name change comes on the 50th anniversary of Secretariat’s iconic 1973 Belmont Stakes win, where he captured the Triple Crown and shattered records with a jaw-dropping 31-length victory.

NYRA officials say the renaming is a long-overdue celebration of a horse that transformed the sport forever. Plans are underway to unveil a bronze statue of Secretariat at the track’s entrance, along with a new interactive exhibit.

“This track is where history was made,” NYRA President Dave O’Rourke said. “Big Red deserves to be honored here forever.”

The new name, effective immediately, will debut during next season’s opening race. Fans across the globe are already calling it a “race to remember.”
