Netflix Announces ‘HARDCORE: The Rise of the Underground’
Netflix has officially greenlit a new docuseries titled HARDCORE: The Rise of the Underground, diving deep into the blood, sweat, and screams of the global hardcore music scene. Set for release in early 2026, the series will chronicle the gritty roots of hardcore punk from the basements of New York to modern underground festivals in Berlin, Tokyo, and São Paulo.
Each episode will feature exclusive interviews with legendary frontmen, riot footage from classic shows, and untold stories of venues that became battlegrounds for expression. Directed by Harmony Korine and produced by Trent Reznor, HARDCORE is already being called “the most intense music doc ever made.”
Netflix teased a trailer showing shattered guitars, circle pits, and a masked figure screaming into a flickering mic under red lights. Hardcore fans are losing it online.
