John Bevere Loses Divorce Appeal as Court Upholds Ruling as Lisa Bevere Splits Up With All Royalties and Mandatory…Read More

Christian author and minister John Bevere has officially lost his appeal in a high-profile divorce case with his now ex-wife, Lisa Bevere. A family court ruling has confirmed that Lisa Bevere is entitled to a 50% share of all past and future royalties from their joint publications and ministry projects, in addition to mandatory child support payments from John Bevere.

The couple, once known as a powerful duo in the global Christian ministry circuit, announced their separation earlier this year after decades of marriage and co-leadership of Messenger International, their nonprofit ministry organization. While both parties initially sought a private resolution, legal proceedings became public after disputes over financial entitlements surfaced.

According to court documents, the judge ruled in favor of Lisa Bevere, citing her equal contribution to the couple’s ministry, including co-authorship of books, joint speaking engagements, and media appearances. “Lisa Bevere played a foundational role in the creation and success of their joint ventures,” the ruling stated.

In addition to royalty division, the court ordered John Bevere to pay a monthly child support fee, covering educational and medical expenses for the couple’s youngest dependent. The court emphasized that the financial responsibility must reflect the family’s previous lifestyle and income.

John Bevere’s legal team had argued that the royalties were primarily tied to his solo works and intellectual property. However, the appeal was denied, with the court reaffirming the initial assessment that the success of their ministry was a shared effort.

Lisa Bevere, through her legal counsel, expressed relief at the outcome, noting that it allows her to move forward independently with her career and ministry.

The decision marks a significant moment in one of the Christian community’s most visible marital separations, with potential implications for joint ministries and family-run faith organizations.
